Taking a Journey Down the Roman's Road (In the book of Romans)

Before  we begin our journey - we need to understand God's Nature

God's Nature:

“The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.”

Psalm 145:17  (He is Righteous and Holy)

Step One of Our Journey - Romans Chapter 3
Understanding Man's Nature

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 3:10, 23  (We are Unrighteous and Sinful)

Step Two of Our Journey - Romans Chapter 5
Understanding God's Display of Love

“But God commendeth (displayed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

Step Four of Our Journey - Romans Chapter 10
Understanding how to settle our Eternal Destiny

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Romans 10:9-10  (Believing and Confessing)

We need to believe in our heart: Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. We then need to confess this with our mouth.  Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin.

Romans 10:13 says: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We call on the Lord to save us through prayer.

The John 3:16 declaration:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

If you would like to pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart, forgive your sin, and save you; pray in your own words, a simple prayer such as this: "Dear Jesus. I believe that you died for me, and then rose from the dead. I believe you can hear and answer my prayer. Please forgive my sin, and come into my heart and save me. Thank you for saving me. Amen."
