The 7 Key Persons in Bible Prophecy:

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him (Jesus) privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3

1. Jesus Christ the Messiah

1. “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

3. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Revelation 1:1-3

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Revelation 22:16

There were over 300 Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah that were fulfilled by the life and death of Jesus Christ.

2. Satan

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matthew 4:10

The name “Satan” appears 52 times in scripture. Some of his other names:

“devil” used 35 times, “Lucifer,” “Beelzebub,” “anointed cherub,” “evil one,” “ruler of this world,” “god of this age,” “prince of the power of the air,” “dragon,” “accuser,” “tempter,” etc.

Satan was a created angel. He fell because of his pride (Ezekiel 28:13-17). See Job 1:6-7; Colossians 1:12-16; Genesis 3:15).

Why did Satan disguise himself as a serpent to deceive Adam and Eve?

It may have been because they had observed him for some time, functioning as a good angel, before sin was found in his heart.

Ezekiel 28:13 says:

Referring to Satan: “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.”

Some have tried to say that the “Eden” mentioned here is a garden that exists in heaven, and is not the “garden of Eden” that was on earth.  However, the Hebrew word “Eden” in Ezekiel 28 means: “the region of Adam’s home.”

3. The Antichrist (or Beast)

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, …”

Daniel 9:27

Four Aspects Of His Personality And Power:

1. Intellectually “understanding dark sentences” Daniel 8:23

2. Oratorically “shall speak marvellous things” Daniel 11:36

3. Commercially “shall have power over the treasures” Dan. 11:43

    “causeth all …receive a mark” Rev. 13:16

4. Commercially “shall have power over the treasures” Dan. 11:43

    “causeth all …receive a mark” Rev. 13:16

4. The False Prophet

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” Revelation 13:11-12

His Activity:

Perform miracles

Erects image to the Beast

Gives life to image

Causes everyone to take the mark of the Beast

Controls world commerce on behalf of the Beast

5. The Two Witnesses

“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”

Revelation 11:3-4

Notice Revelation 11:5

“And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.”

Who will the Two Witnesses be?

Some believe they will be Moses and Elijah. God gave them both the ability to perform miracles. They are who Peter, James, and John saw on the Mount of Transfiguration.

I believe they might be Elijah and Enoch. In 2 Kings 2:1, God took Elijah up in a whirlwind and he did not die. Malachi 4:5 says: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:” That would be in the first half of the Tribulation.

In Genesis 5:23-24, God took Enoch up into heaven and he did not die. In Jude 1:14-15 it says: ““And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Not only did Enoch not die, he prophesied about the Second Coming.

6. Gog

Near the midpoint of the tribulation, Gog and Magog will mount an all-out attack on the land of Israel. In Ezekiel 38:1-3, Ezekiel seems to indicate that Gog is a leader of the land of Magog. See also Ezekiel 38:14-16, 22-23; 39:4-6, 9-10, 12-16; and Daniel 11:40

7. Mystery Babylon

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8

See Rev. 17:1-9, 15-18

Who is the Ten-Kingdom Power?

Is Babylon:

A country an empire or a system? Is it symbolic or literal? Is it religious, commercial or political? Some believe Revelation 18 sounds more like Babylon is the United States.

Some things we know about Mystery Babylon from scripture:

It will rule over the antichrist and his ten-kingdom power; will dictate what the antichrist can and cannot do for the first part of the tribulation period; has given the beast and the ten nations their power, but remains very much in control. This will change toward the middle of the tribulation period.

Four facts to consider as to why the European Union might be the 10-kingdom power:

1. The E.U. now occupies much of the land formerly occupied by the Roman Empire.

2. The E.U. now has a single monetary system (currency), which is the first time this has happened since the collapse of the Roman Empire many centuries ago.

3. The E.U. is building an impressive military force, in an attempt to replace NATO and the United States in the "defense" of Europe.

4. The E.U. is actively engaged in international affairs, in an attempt to replace American diplomacy and influence.

The European Union currently has over 25 members. However, there are only 10 permanent voting members:

Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Many different groups have now divided the whole world into 10 regions for different purposes. (The Club of Rome, the United Nations, etc.) The United States has been divided up into 10 regions also.

Some believe the supposedly secret organization known as the Illuminati is also involved.

Whatever the scenario is, the stage is being set.
